As a licensed psychologist, I am dedicated to working with individuals and partners to foster personal growth and well-being.

I believe my role is to cultivate a safe and affirming relationship through which clients can develop greater self-compassion and self-confidence to engage more authentically with themselves and others. With a greater understanding of one's own process and emotional experience, I work to help empower my clients to "do it differently" and shift out of patterns or cycles that no longer serve them.

While I adapt my therapeutic intervention style to best fit the needs of each client, I primarily approach and conceptualize from an interpersonal and feminist lens. I draw upon Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness practices when appropriate in session. Additionally, I utilize Gottman Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) when approaching my work with couples and partners.

When I am asked why I do the work I do - my answer is simple. I can't imagine doing anything else. I am inspired witnessing the strides my clients make - taking risks, being vulnerable, standing in their truth. I feel endless gratitude that I am permitted the privilege and honor to engage in work that I love and care about so deeply.

"I have known Meg for quite some time and have only positive things to say about her and her work. She is incredibly passionate, authentic, kind, thoughtful, and gracious. She is social justice oriented and truly meets her clients where they're at. She has a wealth of experience with sexuality and gender diversity issues and is constantly expanding and enhancing her knowledge base with training and consultation. Her enthusiasm for this work is readily apparent. I value her tremendously as a friend and colleague, and I cannot recommend her highly enough as a therapist!"

"Dr. Stein is a highly skilled clinician whose passion for her work shines through in her ability to provide empathy and empowerment to her clients. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to benefit from her incorporation of social justice, knowledge of the direction the field of psychology is progressing in, and the evidence based techniques and tools she uses that lead to success for the clients she sees in therapy. It is with great enthusiasm that I recommend her to anyone seeking services from a well trained and informed psychologist."
